More Fighters confirmed to be out of UFC 100

4 March 2009 Comments

Dana White has been a busy boy lately. Finalizing cards for UFC 97, Two live Fight Nights, UFC 98 and UFC 99 is nearly finalized. So let’s get down to it and see which fighters are not fighting in UFC 100 on July 11th.

First up the Fight Night coming April 1st…seriously its happening despite it being April Fools Day.

Main Event is Carlos Condit making his UFC debut after his WEC belt was thrown in the trash can against Martin Kampmann. Kampmann has only had one fight at 170 and looked solid. We’ll see how he does against Condit who hasn’t lost in over two years.
The rest of the card comes out as follows:
Efrain Escudero Vs. Jeremy Stephens (hopefully Efrain runs Jeremy right out of the UFC with a beating. Come on Efrain is Joe Lauzon can murder Stephens so can you.
Ryan Bader Vs. Carmelo Marrero
Junie Browning Vs. Cole Miller (best fight on the card besides the main event. Cole Miller has shown great determination as fights where on, but his standup is suspect and I think Junie can neutralize Cole’s Jitz.
Tyson Griffin Vs. Rafael dos Anjos (Poor Griffin, relegated to Fight Nights after losing to Sean Sherk. How can a guy who consistently wins fight of the night be moved to under cards?
Ricardo Almeida Vs. Matt Horwich
Brock Larson Vs. Jesse Sanders
Jorge Rivera Vs. Nissen Osterneck
Rob Kimmons Vs. Joe Vedepo
Tim McKenzie Vs. Aaron Simpson (His fight against Jeremy Lang might be one of the greatest MMA fights I have ever seen. Catch it sometime on the WEC Wreckage. Go McKenzie)
Steve Steinbeiss Vs. Ryan Jensen

What kind of responsible comment is that? Murder? Lauzon beat Stephens with Jeremy taking the fight on short notice replacing an injured Hermes Franca. This is a fight and we still need to be somwhat responsible in our choice of words. Jeremy, win or lose will put up a good fight and still be respected as an MMA talent.
