UFC Fighters not taking part in UFC 100
Besides all of the rumors about matchups let’s do a breakdown of who is not participating in UFC 100 and why?
Brock Lesnar - Brock Lesnar is fighting Frank Mir at UFC 98 for the Heavyweight Championship. He will most likely be watching it from the crowd with Sable aka Rena Mero at her side…or he may be ice fishing talking to Dana about dropping his cellphone down an ice hole.
Frank Mir - Fighting Brock Lesnar at UFC 98. He’ll dedicate the fight to his wife and children per usual.
Randy Couture - Filming a Sly Stallone movie till late May and will not have enough time to get his camp together.
Karo Parisyan - Between the pain killer saga and having booked a fight at UFC 98 to face Josh Koscheck he is out. I’m really happy about this one, he just looked terrible in his last fight and I think stun gun actually won.
Josh Koshcheck - Recently quoted as saying “There are a lot of reasons I want to fight so much,” he said. “I am in the gym all year around and I would rather be fighting then just training. The only way I make money is by fighting. So I told the UFC that I want to fight five or six times in 2009. I don’t care who I fight, anyone willing to step up I’ll be ready. I am a fighter and that’s what I love to do.” So expect Kos to fight Karo or another opponent at UFC 98. I would expect him to skip 100, but we’ll update this is things shake out differently.
Chuck Liddell - Chuck currently is booked to take on the very overrated and rebuilt Maurico “Shogun” Rua at UFC 97 in Montreal. Currently that show might be cancelled, but something tells me the UFC will work out a solution. Chuck has stated he only wants to fight a few times per year now so he can focus on eating and hanging out in downtown San Luis Obispo.

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua - He’ll be fighting Chuck at UFC 97 and will either show up and dominate or will take a nice dirt nap courtesy of the Iceman.
